Does almond milk make your boobs grow bigger? It’s a question that has been trending on google for the last few weeks and websites certainly exist that tout the benefit of almond milk for breast enlargement. We aren’t doctors but if the ingredient list is anything to go by we’d have to say no. Have you ever picked up a bottle of almond milk and had a look at what’s inside a typical glass of your nutty water?
What’s in nut milk:
Would you be surprised if we told you that almond milk often contains less than 2% almonds? The rest is water, sugar, some sort of oil for that creamy mouth feel, and then the addition of things like Calcium Carbonate (calcium supplement), Potassium Citrate (potassium citric acid), Gellan Gum and vitamins. On a side note did you know it takes over 4L of water to grow a single almond?
But really there’s a new milk alternative in town and that’s oat mylk. Oatly is a Swedish brand of oat milk and is seriously popular right now. 10% of Oatly mylk is oats, the rest is water and then they add Canola (rapeseed) oil, again for that creamy mouth feel. That doesn’t sound very healthy to us!
Added Calcium in nut milk:
There is a lot of hype around nut mylk as the healthy alternative to cows milk and often times people use it as a complete dairy replacement. Companies fortify their mylk with calcium, vitamins and protein so as to provide the necessary vitamins and minerals needed to grow healthy bodies. Unsurprisingly the added calcium and nutrients is not bioavailable and so dieticians really recommend including some dairy in your diet.
What about cows milk?
Can we take a moment to appreciate just how good cows milk is for you? It is packed full of all nine essential amino acids. It also contains calcium, iodine, Vitamins A and B12, potassium, magnesium, riboflavins, zinc and magnesium. Not only that but it contains 8g protein per cup – that’s 40% of the recommended intake for kids!
Our milk is collected from our grass fed cows that graze on lush biodynamic pasture all day long. We strongly believe that you can’t grow nutrient dense food from nutrient deficient soil. We farm biodynamically because it is a regenerative method of farming that feeds the soil by stimulating microbial activity in the earth. The cows eat our salad bar pastures, grown from rich, nutrient dense soil which gives them the energy they need to produce milk, which is full of the essential vitamins and minerals we need to grow healthy bodies.
But what about bigger boobs? Well milk does contain similar reproductive hormones to those found in the human body like estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin, all of which encourages boob growth.
